Mason Mount a playmaker for Chelsea and England, has been working hard in the gym in preparation for the upcoming season and is hoping to see the results of his efforts on the field. Mount has been showing off his muscular physique as Chelsea intensifies their preseason training at a base in Los Angeles.
The 23-year-old offensive midfielder, who played 53 times in all competitions last season, was an important member of Thomas Tuchel’s squad. He contributed to the Blues’ Club World Cup victory at the time with 13 goals and 16 assists, but he certainly wants to grow better in the upcoming season.
Although Mount was not very muscular when he made his Chelsea debut in August 2019, his subsequent gym training has given him the strength to compete with the best enforcers in the Premier League. The England international is hoping that his added weight will aid him when he engages in challenges, but he is also careful to maintain his ball-handling skills.
Mount told Sky Sports, “I believe it’s simply normal, as soon as you grow older you start filling out a bit more.” “I’ve become a little more organized over the past three years. I put effort on it. You want to be someone who can move about a little as a midfielder, but people can tell.
“It’s not over yet; it’s just the start of a long journey. If you want to work on that side, you must be smart, nimble, and do the same things I do, which is to press and go forward. It goes hand in hand because you have to be capable of doing it as well.
The early Sunday morning match between Chelsea and Mexican team Club America in Las Vegas, Nevada, will provide Mount the chance to test out his newly bulked-up body.

Before returning to Europe, the Blues will play Charlotte in North Carolina on Thursday and their former rivals Arsenal in Orlando on Saturday. The final opportunity for Tuchel to adjust his team before the Premier League opening against Everton on August 6 comes at the end of July in an international friendly against Udinese in Italy.
Raheem Sterling, an English winger who had just completed a £50 million deal from Manchester City, joined Chelsea on Wednesday. Kalidou Koulibaly, a defender for Napoli, is also close to joining Stamford Bridge for £33 million, and Presnel Kimpembe is the next player the Blues are considering. For the Frenchman, Paris Saint-Germain is thought to be asking for a deal worth little more than £50 million.
