Erik Ten Haag’s United to face Brighton in their first game of the new season as Premier league fixtures are released
Manchester United will begin their campaign of the new season against Brighton at Old Trafford.
This is the first time both teams would be playing against each other in the opening round of fixtures.
New manager Erik Ten Haag will oversee his first premier league game at the club.
He will be hoping to begin the new campaign on a high note.
Looking at this particular fixture, United were thumped 4-0 by the Seagulls who finished 9th in the league last season. Their biggest victory in the English Premier League’s history.
The Red Devils were outclassed and looked clueless in that match with the team in a bad run of form.
Although, the manager at that time was Ralf Ragnick, as the team finished sixth in the premier league with 58pts. United would be hoping for a better placed finish in the premier league, with new manager Ten Haag in charge of the club this season. Getting a win against Brighton on Sunday, 7th of August, would definitely put them on course to achieving their goals.
In their third fixture, they play host to rivals Liverpool. This will be Erik Ten Haag’s first game against the big six in the premier league.
